- 1 / 5By Charlotte ShapiraI went to McCarthy's pub after work with my mother who is 56. The woman at the bar requested both of our I.D.s. My mom asks really you want mine? The lady said yes my mother complied and went to the car to get her ID. The woman looked at me and told me that she had to ID everyone. I work in a restaurant so I said that the rule was you ID people who looks 35 or under. She says no its at my discretion. I said yes but the rule isn't that you ID everyone. She huffed and puffed and told me that she wouldn't serve me and not to argue with her. I am a paying customer. I wonder how the owner would feel if she turned away money for no good reason. Especially when I was ordering top shelf liquor. This was a waitress on a power trip and should not be treating customers badly because she's having a bad day. I will never return to McCarthy's pub.December 03, 2016
